Vietnam CISG Pre-Moot 2025: Harness the power, manage the risk. This year’s theme, "Contract disputes in the energy sector: Termination of construction and operation contracts for hydrogen plants under CISG", challenges participants with real-world legal issues in the field of renewable energy contracts. With a growing number of international teams joining, Vietnam CISG Pre-Moot continues to assert its status as a premier international arbitration competition.

2019 - Vietnam CISG Pre-Moot was born. Hosted by the Foreign Trade University (FTU) in collaboration with VIAC, VSIL, and VBLC, the competition set a strong foundation for its future success. With the theme "CISG - United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods", the first edition crowned "DAV Vis East Team 2019" as the inaugural champion.
2020 - Amidst the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, the competition made a bold move by transitioning to an online format, becoming the first virtual arbitration moot in Vietnam. Under the slogan “In the loop of sustainability”, the competition concluded with “The Framers” emerging as champions.
2021 - Vietnam CISG Pre-Moot returned for its third edition with the timely theme "nCoVaccine" - Disputes over the production and copyright of respiratory vaccines. This intense season ended with “Heilen” securing the championship title.
2022 - Vietnam CISG Pre-Moot introduced a complex case regarding "Disputes over long-term palm oil purchase contracts", demanding deep legal insights and sharp analytical skills. After fierce rounds, "MMA" claimed victory in the grand finale
2023 - A groundbreaking year as Vietnam CISG Pre-Moot welcomed international teams for the first time. With the fascinating theme "Disputes related to the signing of a contract for the purchase of unmanned aerial vehicles", the competition delivered thrilling matches and unforgettable emotions. In the end, "University Of Hamburg" was crowned champion.
2024 - Vietnam CISG Pre-Moot 2024: Enigmatrix, with the slogan “Crack the code, embrace your opportunities”, explored the legal challenges of data security in business. Two outstanding teams surpassed all challenges to reach the much-anticipated Final.

From December 2024 to March 2025, the Vietnam CISG Pre-Moot 2025 will be co-organized by the Foreign Trade University and the Vietnam International Arbitration Center (VIAC). The competition will be conducted in English and is open to undergraduates from domestic and international educational institutions.
